Since the August 23 premiere, "Dog Fighting Primer" has been requested by first responders from New Hampshire to California. It seems that people all across the country are turning a critical eye to dog fighting and the criminals who promote it. Locally, Indy Pit Crew has provided training copies of the DVD to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and other emergency responders. The DVD is available at NO-CHARGE for anyone working in the animal welfare or law enforcement fields. Please use the link on this page to order a copy. |

Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson recently announced the formation of a task force devoted to investigating and arresting Indianapolis dog fighters. The new task force has already been busy with their first arrest made the third week of September. There are a total of 13 dog fighting cases currently in our court system. |

The Indianapolis Dog Fighting Task Force will soon be announcing a special phone number for citizens to use to speak directly to task force officers. The Canine Crime Stoppers tip-line, 262-TIPS, will still be available for callers who wish to remain anonymous. |

It is imperative that the citizens of Indianapolis remain vigilant. Public Safety Director Earl Morgan has asked Indy Pit Crew to help be the eyes and ears of dog fighting investigations in our city. We are happy to oblige and ask you to do the same. Talk to your friends, families and neighbors about the horrors of dog fighting. Remember, without the information, the Task Force will have nothing to investigate. If we all work together, we can make a difference for the dogs, the true victims of dog fighting. |

The citizens of Indianapolis are watching. Law enforcement is in place. Reporting dog fighting is as easy as dialing the phone. Indianapolis dog fighters have been placed on notice. The sadistic "sport" of dog fighting will no longer be tolerated in our community! |
